Associate Director - Operation Access

Public Health Programs:

Non-profit & Government Sector

My role at Operation Access

In my current position at Operation Access, through funding from the state’s County Medical Services Program (CMSP), we began expanding services from the greater Bay Area into additional counties, including Yuba and Sutter counties to help uninsured residents get the medical care they need.  In my role on the Council, I am able to understand the landscape and needs of both counties to aid in our expansion efforts.

I’m hopeful that involvement with the Council will spread the news about the resources available through Operation Access. By coordinating prompt, specialty intervention for clients whose conditions would otherwise become acute, Operation Access’s services prevent colorectal cancer, medical emergencies, poor health outcomes, and economic distress.

About Me:

For the past 20 years, I have been involved in Public Health programs in the non-profit and government sectors. I co-created and co-led the Equity and Diversity Steering Committee in my previous role at Support for Families of Children with Disabilities, where I coordinated San Francisco’s Help Me Grow initiative. In my current role as Associate Director at Operation Access, I oversee our expansion project, working in coordination with a team of Program Managers who lead work in specific regions. I also lead staff learning, professional development, and wellness across the organization with an equity, diversity, and inclusion lens.

I am passionate about social justice and immigration rights. I believe that healthcare is a fundamental human right and that everyone should have access to acceptable and affordable care.
